Know which link brought the sale.

How to read it

Naming that stays clean.

01

Source

Where the click came from: google, facebook, instagram, newsletter. Use the same spelling every time.

02

Medium

The type of traffic: cpc, paid_social, email. GA4 groups channels by medium, so keep to the standard names.

03

Campaign

The campaign or promotion name. Lowercase with underscores avoids GA4 splitting one campaign into three.

04

Google Ads

Google Ads tags clicks automatically with auto-tagging. Only add UTMs there if you have a specific reason.

Questions

Before you ask.

Can I do many at once?

Yes. Switch to Bulk mode, upload or paste a CSV with a header row and map the columns. Every row is processed in your browser and you download the results as a CSV. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Do I need UTMs on Google Ads links?

Usually not. With auto-tagging on, GA4 gets the campaign data from Google Ads directly. Adding UTMs as well can cause conflicts unless you set it up carefully.

Why lowercase?

GA4 is case sensitive, so Facebook and facebook show up as two sources. Lowercase everywhere keeps reports clean.

Is my data stored?

No. Everything runs in your browser.
