How to read it

Three numbers, one answer.

01

ROAS

Revenue divided by ad spend. It tells you how much came back for every unit spent, but nothing about what it cost you to sell the product.

02

Break-even ROAS

One divided by your gross margin. At a 40% margin you need 2.5x just to cover the ads. Anything below that loses money on every sale.

03

Profit after ad spend

Gross profit from the ad sales minus the ad spend. This is the number we judge accounts on, because it is the one that pays the bills.

04

Where to look next

If you are below break-even, check margins by product before cutting budget. Often a few low margin products drag the whole account down.

Questions

Before you ask.

Can I do many at once?

Yes. Switch to Bulk mode, upload or paste a CSV with a header row and map the columns. Every row is processed in your browser and you download the results as a CSV. Nothing is uploaded to us.

What is a good ROAS?

There is no universal number. A good ROAS is one comfortably above your break-even, which depends on your margin. A store with 60% margins can grow at 2.5x; a store with 25% margins loses money below 4x.

Should I use revenue with or without VAT?

Use the same basis as your margin. Most ad platforms report revenue including VAT if your tracking sends gross order values, so check your tracking before comparing ROAS with your accounts.

Why does Google show a different ROAS to my store?

Attribution windows, view-through conversions and duplicate tags all change the number. We always reconcile platform data with real orders before making budget decisions.

Is my data stored?

No. The calculator runs in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent to us.
