Google Ads audit

A Google Ads audit by the people who would run it.

A PPC specialist reads your account with read-only access and tells you, in writing, where the money leaks and the three changes we would make first. Yours to keep, whether you hire us or not.

What we check

Measurement first, then the spend.

No bidding advice is worth anything if the conversions are wrong, so the audit starts with tracking and works outwards.

01Tracking

Is every sale counted once?

  • Conversion actions and what counts as primary
  • Google Ads against GA4 and the store's orders
  • Consent Mode and tag set-up
02Wasted spend

Where does money go with no sales?

  • Search terms and match types
  • Brand spend inside Performance Max
  • Channels and placements that do not convert
03Structure

Is budget where it returns most?

  • Campaigns limited by budget
  • Bid strategies and targets
  • Shopping feed and Merchant Center issues
What audits find

Real findings, from real accounts.

The patterns below came up in accounts we took over. They are common, and none of them shows up in a platform's own recommendations.

Tracking

Zero conversions for thirty days

Two accounts reported no sales for a month. Merchant Center was clean on both: the cause was tracking, not the feed, and every bid decision in that month was made blind.

After a migration

Approved products, zero impressions

A store moved from BigCommerce to Shopify, but both Performance Max campaigns still pointed at the old Merchant Center. Products were approved and in stock and served nothing.

Channels

One decision, not three tweaks

Demand Gen was failing on three accounts at once: 0.51x, 2.01x and zero conversions. That is one decision about a channel, not three separate campaign fixes.

How it works

Three steps, no sales pitch.

Step 1

You send a brief

Two minutes: website, channels and rough monthly spend.

Step 2

We read the account

With read-only access, so nothing can change. You can remove it at any time.

Step 3

You get it in writing

Where the spend leaks and the three changes we would make first, then a call to talk it through.

Where we start

Measurement, before money.

Two accounts we took over reported zero sales for thirty days. The ads were fine; the tracking was not. An audit that skips this step tunes bids on numbers that are wrong.

  • Google Ads conversions against GA4 and real orders
  • Duplicate or missing purchase tags
  • Consent Mode and enhanced conversions
Questions

Before you ask.

Can the audit change anything in our account?

No. We ask for read-only access, which lets us see the account but not change it. You stay in control of who has access and can remove it whenever you like.

Who does the audit?

A PPC specialist who runs accounts every day, the same person who would run yours. Not a salesperson and not an automated score.

Do you audit Merchant Center and Performance Max too?

Yes. For online stores the feed and Merchant Center are part of the audit, along with how much of Performance Max goes to your own brand.

What if we already have an agency?

That is a common reason to ask. A second pair of eyes either confirms the account is in good hands or shows what to raise with them. The findings are yours either way.
